You have probably heard about Paleo Diet but you might still be a bit confused about its meaning, what we can eat or can't eat...let me simplify it for you!!
Eating Paleo means that you can only eat what our ancestors were eating back in the Paleolithic area.
When the humans were not exposed to the industrial food, they were eating fresh vegetables, meats, nuts, seeds. They also only drunk milk at a young age and then they didn't look for cows to have their milk!! Therefore basically, what a caveman wasn't able to eat by hunting or finding it in the nature, then we can't eat it!! This means that Paleo eaters should only eat non-processed food, bye bye bread, dairy, lollies...and welcome to a new way of eating fresh and real food!!
What can I eat?
Meats (grass-produced not grain fed)
Fish and seafood
Nuts and seeds
Healthful fats (e.g: Olive oil, coconut oil...)
What should I avoid?
Legumes (such as lentils for instance)
Cereal grains (therefore no bread!!)
Refined sugar (e.g: table sugar)
Refined vegetable oils
Processed meats such as paté, fois gras...
