1 to 2 tablespoons honey, agave or maple syrup (optional)
Blend your strawberries if you like a smoother consistency or leave them this way if you like lumpy jam. If you use frozen berries, it is best to defrost them before so that you remove the excess of water, but this is not mandatory, it will just take more time when you cook them.
Then place the strawberries in a saucepan over medium heat.
Add the honey (agave or maple sirup- optional) and the chia seeds
Cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
Remove from the saucepan and leave it to cool
Once they are at room temperature, transfer to a jar.
You can store it in the fridge for 2 weeks.
