I like using cacao powder in smoothies as I find it a good way to get rid of my chocolate cravings without the fear of gaining weight or consuming preservatives and additives that you can find in chocolate.
This recipe will make one large smoothie glass.
250 ml of water
40g of walnuts
4 pitted dates
2 tbsps. of cacao powder
Place the water in the blender and then add the rest of the ingredients.
Blend on high for 30-60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
You can also add 2 ice cubes if you like it very cold.
Serve in glasses
You can also swap the water by coconut water for an extra boost in nutrients.
