Mangoes are in season in December and it is very hot in Sydney!
Therefore it is the best time of the year to make mango and orange smoothie!
The benefits of mangoes are very long…some of them include:
They are a great source of potassium
They have been found to fight against some cancers – such as leukemia, colon, breast and prostate cancers
They have a lot of vitamins (C, A, B6, E, K…)
They contain copper (mineral requires for production of red blood cells)
They contain fiber that makes you feel full, which in return is great for weightloss.
They are a great source of iron
This recipe will make one large smoothie glass and a small one.
2 mangoes, medium size
420 ml of coconut water
1 orange, peeled and in chunks
1 tbsp. of coconut powder to serve
Place all ingredients in the blender
Blend on high for 30-60 seconds or until desired consistency is reached.
Serve in glasses
Notes: If you prefer a thicker consistency for your smoothie, use less coconut water.
