After school today my son was looking at the other kids having ice creams and blocks, he knows it is not very healthy and he was looking for something fresh...so I told him that we can go to the grocery shop and he can choose his fruits for a healthier option.
And back home we made orange and grape blocks for the weekend (fruit choices at his demand), completely natural - no added sugars. He was a bit sad to wait for the next day to have them...so back up plan... we made smoothies!!
We are now both enjoying a delicious smoothie made with mulberries, pears and oranges. I have also added few mint leaves. I have kept frozen mulberries in my freezer so today was the best day to use them!
And this is the recipe of mulberry, pear and orange smoothie!! This recipe will make 1 large smoothie and two small ones.
2 handful of frozen mulberries
1 pear, cut in thick slices
2 oranges (1 pressed, 1 to serve)
250 ml of water or coconut water
4-5 mint leaves (plus few more to serve)
- Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until desired consistency is reached.
You can add more water if you don't like when it is too thick.
- Serve in glasses and decorate with oranges, mulberries, mint and pears.
